Vegas, Baby!

Las Vegas war für uns sowas wie "Hangover 3", nur ohne härtere Drogen. Bei Glanz, Show und mega großen Portionen Spare Ribs schwebten wir mit "singing Marina" und "Eddie's Rocket" filmend durch das Disneyland für Erwachsene.

For us Las Vegas was something like "Hangover 3", except the drugs. With glamour, shows and huge portions of spare ribs we floated through the lightful streets and casinos with "singing Marina" and "Eddie's Rocket", filming the Disneyland for adults.

Wir haben auch die Gelegenheit am Schopf gepackt und sind auf eine noch einsamere Insel namens Aitutaki geflogen. Ein einsames Juwel von Insel mit einer riesigen Korallenlagune, welche auch zu den Cook Islands gehört. Dieser riesige, farbenprächtige Swimmingpool war für uns definitiv eine der unvergesslichsten Sehenswürdigkeiten des Pazifiks und wir sind sehr dankbar, dass wir es bis zu diesem besonderen Ort geschafft haben. Wir waren dort 4 Tage lang, sind von einer kleinen Insel zur nächsten geschnorchelt, waren auf Inseln wie „Honeymoon Island“ oder „One Foot Island“ spazieren und genossen die Einsamkeit. Wir dachten das uns nichts mehr wirklich noch beeindrucken kann auf unserer Reise. Doch als wir im kristallklaren, zaphir- bis türkisblauen Wasser zwischen farbenprächtigen Fischen saßen, machte es uns richtig glücklich. Es war fast unmöglich, diese stechend weißen und hellblauen Farben auf Fotos festzuhalten.

We could not let pass the opportunity to fly to the lonely jewel - a magnificent coral lagoon, called Aitutaki - which belongs to Cook Islands as well. This huge colorful swimming pool was truly one of the most memorable sights of the Pacific for us and we are thankful for the chance of having been able to go there. We went to Aitutaki for four days and spend all of our time in this beautiful lagoon, snorkeling from one island to another one or walking on soft white sandy beaches, deserted islands („Honeymoon Island“ or „One Foot Island“).

We thought nothing can really awe us anymore after being on our lifetime trip for a while. But sitting in the crystal clear, sapphire to turquoise-blue waters of this lonely island among beautiful colorful fishes, which simply can’t be really recorded on a photograph, made us terribly happy.
